Time Flies

Time flies when you are having fun! It has been forever since I have posted anything! I guess I will catch up today.

Knox had his one year pics taken in December while I was on break. It was sure fun, but bitter sweet to realize that my baby is ONE! I can't believe that it has already been one year. Once again, Bethany has done an amazing job! She works so quickly and professionally and always gets the best shots! Knox actually performs for her. He is such a ham when it comes to the camera. Below are some of my favorites! There were over 90 images!

We had a birthday party for Knox in January. All his aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpa, great grandmas were there plus a few extra special people. It was great seeing everyone and getting to celebrate with them. Knox sure was spoiled by all of the presents and he sure does have fun playing with all of them. He has so many toys and makes his rounds through the living room to reach them all on a daily basis!

On a personal note, it was the same day I did this to my finger by wiping up spit-up off the carpet. So I had to quickly go to the clinic to have my finger splinted.

Knox is such a little boy! If it can be climbed on or over he is doing it! He loves to get into his toy box and sit and play. That is the only time he stays in one place for longer than 5 seconds.

He also loves bath time! When he hears the water running, he runs into the bathroom super exctited to get in. On this night he just couldn't wait to get his clothes off!

His favorite things these days are playing ball, wrestling with daddy, going outsite on nice days, playing tractors, and seeing the train when it goes by our house. We are in trouble if we don't get a fence. Someday we will find this child in Columbus, because he hopped on the train for a ride!

He also says mama, dada, kitty and choo choo, of course. He is so full of life and never stops exploring! I can't wait to see what this next year hold for us! It is sure an adventure!

Mr. Charming

I decided to sign up Knox for the I'm a Little Cutie baby contest in Columbus for Columbus Days. It rained on us all morning and was cold, but it was still fun. Knox won 2nd place in the 7-12 month division! I bought him a coyboy hat and boots and when he got up to the judges, he performed as usual! I think he should have on first (of course :-) ) but, the little girl who did win was a cutie too! And she was almost 12 months, so she performed more! Even my friend Kathy brought her daughter Maddie. Maddie is 6 days older than Knox.

She did it again!

Knox had his six month pictures taken in July with Bethany. Wow, she never lets me down. This time there were 160 images after all was said and done. It was a hot Friday afternoon, but Knox rocked the photo shoot! I will save you all and post only a few here! (you can see them all on facebook, because I know everyone cares as much as I do! (jk) Thanks again Bethany! I can't wait for his 9 month pictures and our Buhl family photos!

Mrs. Domestic

Just call me little Susie homemaker. I made a ton of baby food on Sunday morning. It was kinda fun but time consuming. The green beans are from the garden everything else (carrots and peas) were bought vegetables. I might try this again!

Just like Daddy!

Leave it to the professionals!

So my awesome sister-in-law Jenny sent Knox some clothes! They are adorable and very appreciated. So... I decided that since I was a super-mom that can do everything: work, clean, do crafts, make baby food, breastfeed and take pictures, I would put Knox in all of his cute little outfits, he would sit and let me take his picture, just like he does when we go to Bethany's! Ha! Yeah, Right! Instead he wanted to show everyone his new tricks. I thought I would share them with you!
He is really good at sitting up now! I can prop him on something and he usually stays for a short period of time, until he realizes that he hasn't moved in three seconds!

Here he goes! That didn't last long!

Little Mr. Cool Pants thinks he is so big that he can almost crawl now. There is no sitting like a good little boy anymore! He thinks the carpet is better on the other side of the living room.
Well at least I tried to take pictures. Now I know why we pay Bethany! At least he had fun! I was a little stressed!

Nap Time Fights Start Already!

Yesterday evening Knox was crabby! I had just picked him up from daycare and the minute we walked in the door it started. The whining, and the crying every time I put him down. His eyes were pure red. He needed a nap and I needed supper! So, I tried rocking him. He fought and fought! Kicked and whined. Would take is pacifier out and chew on it. He would NOT go to sleep. So, I gave up. I put him on the floor to play. MISTAKE! Then the tears came out. So I finally put him in the swing that has sat in our living room for two months unused. He calmed down. So I went to change my clothes. I came out to find him playing with the toys quietly, sucking on his pacifier. I went in the kitchen to start making supper and after a few minutes, I didn't hear anything. This is how I found him...

The picture doesn't really do the situation justice. His arm is hanging over the side. It looks as if he was almost escaped from the swing when he suddenly fell asleep. I knew he was tired. He knew he was tired. But it had to be on his terms. There is no negotiating with a 6 month old baby! DUH! What was I thinking?

I emailed this picture to my parents. The subject of the message what Little Shit. My mom asked me this morning if I had sent this out to everyone calling him a little shit. I hadn't until now. Those were only a few of my thoughts at the time. I had worse things running through my mind.

I love the kid to death, but he may just send me to the nut house by the time this parenting thing is done!
